Like all AI models, Leafwise's accuracy depends on the quality of the information provided to it. Here are some tips and tricks to get the best results:

  • Provide details about your plant's environment (e.g. light, humidity, temperature, soil type) and any recent changes.
  • Clearly explain the symptoms you're seeing, including when they first appeared and how they've progressed.
  • Upload clear, well-lit images. Include close-ups of any particular areas you're concerned about. The more images you provide, the better the results.
  • If you know the plant species, include that information in your description.

How much does it cost?

Are there any limits?

Guests are limited to 1 free diagnosis per month. To raise this limit and access additional features, consider creating an account.

How accurate are the results?

Although it isn't perfect, Leafwise is pretty accurate. On an evaluation set with nearly 1000 samples of sick plants, Leafwise provides the same diagnosis as a human expert in 95% of cases. We are always striving to improve this number.

Leafwise will do its best to provide a confidence score (Low, Moderate, or High) along with each diagnosis. If the score is Low, consider providing additional information to increase confidence or seek help from a human expert.

Can't I just use GPT?

You can, but you may not get the best results. Leafwise has been fine tuned for plant health diagnosis and treatment and will generally perform better on these tasks than off-the-shelf AI models.
